Welcome to my first post from the new series “My Fellow Photog”
This series idea came to me while trying to think of ways to promote camaraderie in our industry.
I love finding new ways to share about the photographers whose work i truly enjoy.
Whether we have the same style or not, i can always find something i like about another persons work.
I feel it is important to spread the love for one another in our industry and to build each other up.
No matter what skill level we are all at. We are all in the same field of creating and saving memories for our clients.
This series is aimed at getting to know the person behind the lens as exactly that, A PERSON!
So each time i will come up with a group of random questions to pick their brains. Some of it is just plain silly but it makes for a fun read! Enjoy!
Jessica Vaughn is someone whose work i just LOVE. Actually she will be photographing our family in June and i am SO pumped!!!
4 years professionally, I started photography in high school but I don’t really count that
Real, laid back, fun!
Yes! My oldest daughter is 7, I have identical twin girls who will soon be 4 and a son who is 2!
Most of my day is spent with my little ones. I sneak in some editing and answering emails during nap time and bedtime and schedule sessions 2 days a week.
Yes, lots of Dr. Seuss 😉
My go to dinner: http://thelarsonlingo.blogspot.com/2011/05/easiest-dinner-ever.html Its SO easy and SO good! I actually have it cooking in the crockpot right now! 🙂
California. I’m a California girl at heart stuck in the Midwest
I would love to do a session in New York.
I schedule time just for me. Whether its a massage, a day shopping alone or even dinner with friends! I think its so important to make time for yourself too.
My favorite way to give back is quietly. I’ve donated sessions to people who could not afford it, I carry money in my purse to hand out to homeless when I see them downtown. Generally any way I can give in the spirit of giving!
The Avett Brothers
Hmmmm…..I guess a cat? So I could lay around all day and nap.
I have a really long tongue! I can touch the bottom of my chin with it but can’t touch my nose. lol
Please include here anything else you want people to know about you or your business.
I love teaching others. I offer mentoring and workshops to truly help other photographers succeed and I love every single minute of it!
A Big THANK YOU to Jessica for letting me pick her brain and for sharing some AMAZING images with us!!
Be sure to follow Jessica on facebook so you can fall in love with her work too!
